Bring The Sun On

Thank God for all the sun today at Lakeport, FL  We got a couple of walks in.

Today’s big project is to put splash shields around the stove.  What might be simple in the big city takes a while out on the camp trail.  Both pieces of aluminum had to be hand cut with a box knife.  The one under the hood itself has 8 hidden cuts for the vent and wiring.  The hood had to be moved for everything to work.  This simple project took a few hours.

Finihsed project. We screwed the panels into place as we decided on enameled alumium panels. If we have custom stainless built later ($$$) we will glue those in place.

A look at the other side of the counter at the stove.

These spice racks may not seem much, but I made them for our boat Butterfly Dream, they were in out first fifth wheel, and our mountain cabin.

We spent a large amount of the afternoon making 3 dozen sets of earrings for a faith-based project.

We have no idea what a Sour Orange Festival is, let alone being held in a Ghost Town, but guess where we are going tomorrow.

Looking for more sunshine tomorrow.  We added a new feature to the home page, this shows a map of our travels (pray we can keep it working)

  1. Hi guys,
I love to read your blog and keep up with your adventures. This brings back memories of boat maintenance in exotic ports! I hope you haven’t run aground yet. Do you still have your house? Have a great time as you continue to live every day as unto the Lord.
