We started out a 9 AM in the rental car and went out to Ocean Pond to see if there were any open sites. As we pulled out on County Road 250 here comes a big fifth wheel. We went into the campground and the “move” was underway! The folks leaving had a very nice site right on the water (water property is always premium!). People were moving their rigs for better sites. Site number 2 was open we drove in. We unloaded the two chairs, one table, and books we were carrying. Miss Peggy filled out the paperwork, we paid our money and the site was ours. The only problem was that if the truck was fixed today I would have to come out to Ocean Pond and sleep in the rental car at the site!
We talked with a lot of the people camping here and went back into Lake City at 1 PM. A + Transmission had just received the torque converter via FEDEX, the box wasn’t even open. Tyler accused us of hiding in the trees waiting for the FEDEX guy. Tyler said he and another guy would both be putting our truck back together but it would take about 3 hours it everything went perfect. We called Enterprise and rented the car for one more day.

After lunch, we went to Publix and the local produce stand, got back at 4 PM, and there was our truck sitting next to the fifth wheel! It was just finished. We had to wait about 20 minutes for the paperwork to go back and forth between A + Transmission and the extended warranty folks. Finally we paid our $100 deductible and were on our way. It’s been since 2003 that Miss Peggy followed me as I drove the rig. I went straight to the dump station and Miss Peggy went to move our chairs. After a quick setup Miss Peggy made pizza with gluten free crust for supper.
I started to replace some of our light bulbs. Check these out at AMAZON. We ordered two different size LED light to replace all our regular lights and all new flourescent bulbs for our six fixtures. These aren’t cheap but use very little electricity and burn very cold.
These are our outdoor lights, I am replacing all four.
We have over 2 dozen of this light throughout the interior of the Fifth wheel.

Notice the yellow glow of the lights not replaced vs. the pure white LED. You can get LED’s in a number of colors.
We also received a Kill A Watt meter to measure electrical usage in our mail.
We will be using the Kill A Watt to chart out what each of our electrical devices uses in amp-hours. This is important for planning electrical needs for boondocking. Click on the link to learn more.
Just after supper the cold rain came in with a flurry! We have to take the rental car back tomorrow, go to Camping World. We often look at Camping World and then compare prices at AMAZON or Ebay.
