Joshua, our tow driver, got there in about 30 minutes as he was diverted from a semi-tow on the interstate. Now this wrecker can pull a Semi! He had towed a number of fifth wheel truck combos in the past and knew just what to do.
Mean while Miss Peggy talked to Travis about where we could park the Fifth Wheel. She did her best church lady facade and got us a spot at the nearby Church of God’s parking lot.
Of course by the time they finally got the computer on the truck to check the codes, and talked to the extended warranty people a few times it was 4:30. Tomorrow they will take the transmission apart. We hope that the warranty people don’t have to send out an inspector (which will slow things down), and pray this is an easy fix.
Joshua told us he can bring a 1 ton dually to come out and take our fifth wheel to Ocean Pond if needed.
Many people don’t travel in their Rvs with fresh water in their tanks as it is added weight. We always do and today was proof and justification of the extras 1/10 MPG we might have gained without the water. We will be able to settle in for a couple of nights at Camp Church of God and not worry about water. Tomorrow we had planned to go pickup our inverter so for tonight – no TV.
