Change of Sunday Plans Move Day

Today we started out early to go see out friends Carol & Stan meeting them at their church in Clearwater.  They just returned from an adventure with grandkids at Disney.  Seems they both are down with a bug, so we had a change in plans.  We ended up going to church in Lakeland, FL.  We looked on the internet and found Highland Park Church not far from us.  It was interesting that until half way through the service we didn’t know they were a Nazarene Church.  They have about 2,200 a week in attendance spread out over 4 services.  We have noticed (this week and last) that many of the growing churches who are associated with a denomination are no longer using the denomination in their name.  It seems that people are prejudging a church based on association.  Well it was a great message and service.

Here is a picture our nephew sent to us of their visit yesterday.

After we got back to Mulberry we packed up, said goodbye to our hosts and took off for Apopka, FL.  We are staying at Lost Lake RV Resort for 7 nights.  They offer

  • 79 full hook-up campsites with 30 amp service
  • Limited pull thru sites with 50 amp service and back in 50 amp service
  • Most sites shaded by natural tree canopies
  • Paved pads on all full hook-up sites
  • Picnic tables on all sites
  • Full service bath houses

Sounds good on the internet, but the price was right.  All the sites are a little tight.

"Tight" we had to back up a road and into the site a little sideways to fit!

“Tight” we had to back up a road and into the site a little sideways to fit!

This just wasn’t designed for 42′ long and `14′ wide squeezing between the “natural tree canopies”!  No picnic table, but no room for it on the site.  Hey this is $15 and full hookup just 11 miles from Universal Orlando – the deal is right!

Our living room slide clear a tree limb by 9 inches and our steps clear the marker post by 12 inches.  The electricity (supposed to be on the left of the RV) is on the right as we are into the site so crooked to fit people are gawking.  Hey didn’t I say fifteen bucks a night!

Off to plan our trip to Universal Studios.

A little boy, after seeing the light coming through the stained glass windows in church, told his parents that a saint is “a person that the light shines through.”
So shine brightly, attract people, and make a difference.
