With all good intentions, day was going to be a work day. Mr. Weather had other ideas. As Miss Peggy went up to do the laundry I started gathering up supplies to do a couple of projects on the roof of our RV.
(Why Jim isn’t allowed in the laundry room).
Mr. Wind wanted to show how strong he is, so those plans got scrapped. I had some more taxes to do so I did one of those. We always put out a bird feeder and a hanging plant in front of our RV, for some reason our birds are limited here at Little Willies.

The upper dish is our HD DirecTV dish. It can be a bear to set up as you have to hit 3 satellites. The older dish we had custom painted in Mexico in 2003.
After a tasty lunch of leftovers we went to find the allusive local free range brown egg yellow house. It is “walking” distance from Little Willies. Dozens of yellow houses – no eggs. We had heard from our friends Dave & Deb that a trip to Joshua Orange Groves was worth the time. This is a family farm over 135 years young.
They had orange ice cream, had to try it!-
Cows-
They even had an area that kids could climb a ladder and pick fruit off the trees. We aren’t big orange eaters, but a small bag was in order; also can you taste the fresh squeezed orange/strawberry juice we bought? This is a huge operations making most of the products they sell.
We love the Peace River so much we decided to go on it at a different angle. The people at Peace River Charters let us enjoy an hour or so on the river. We opted for a later – sun getting low trip. Captain Paul was great and we were the only two on the boat.
We didn’t see any gators – didn’t expect to this late in the day, but we saw a number of bald eagles.
Captain Paul was great. He was born here and told us so much about the local flora, fauna, and wildlife.
As we were going to arrive back at Little Willies after dark I promised Miss Peggy a full afternoon out. Got an email that Sonic was having Coney dogs for a buck as it is President’s Day. Bought her a Coney, split some fries. and she had 1/4 bottle of water left in the truck. What else could a girl ask for.
Tomorrow, off to see friends in Englewood, FL.
