Peace River at peace.
Oh what a great day we had at floating on the peace river. The folks from Canoe Safari were really great. No big hassles, just here are the simple rules, here’s your canoe, have fun. Boy did we. We left the Turner Agri Center at 9:45 and got a Canoe Safari’s office by 10.

We loaded up in their old yellow bus.

We launched from the landing at Brownsville Park.

We bunched up waiting for everyone to launch.

Miss Peggy in charge of the Yacht.

Beside canoes we also had inflatable and hard kayaks in our group.

Happy Kayakers.

Unique Trees.

We saw the first small gator within 15 minutes. (Never saw another all day long.)

Lots of turtles.

What this guys was doing who knows!!

Peace River at peace.

Look at this a kayak you pedal.

What a peaceful voyage under the bridge.

Yikes, someone got turned over at the bridge. After a frantic rescue we ended up with one paddler in our canoe and her husband in another. Nothing got ruined and all was well after a few scary moments.

Pulling all the canoes and kayaks up at the landing at the end our float.
Miss Peggy and I were a little sore from the four hours of paddling but had a great time and will do this again.
We researched (in the truck) a couple of RV parks for our stay next week, went to the Win-Dixie for vitals, and were so tired that we pickup at a Little Caesars for supper.

Another evening fire and early to bed for us!
